First Champagne Bar in Paris
I was traveling the world, visiting glamorous hotels, sipping decadent champagne. Yep, that’s my life. I have so many favorite locations that I go back to repeatedly, but I am constantly on the lookout for that new hidden gem, that diamond in the rough. I’ve been traveling to Paris for over 20 years, so naturally, I have numerous haunts that I love to visit regularly. Now that I live here, stumbling across a new hotel or bar is just as exciting, and it’s a joy to plan my weekly outings each Monday.
This week’s champagne “outing” was one of my favorites. I had heard about it before, but it had never popped up at the top of my list.
Inside the charming Le Dokhan’s hotel, located in the 16th arrondissement and just a stroll from the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Elysées, sits the first champagne bar in Paris. This cute, quaint, elegant yet unpretentious champagne parlor is everything you might expect.
Come in, relax, and choose among over 240 varieties of champagne, from your most popular to your rare vintages. Expect to be impressed by the knowledge of the Head Sommelier, who is there to assist and guide you. Whether you are an expert or a beginner in bubbles, the staff will guide you along the way.
I fancied a flight that evening, which allowed me to learn about a small boutique champagne house. Through tastings, you can experience lesser-known family vineyards.
Check if one of the jazz quartets is playing on the night you visit. Nothing beats relaxing with a loved one and enjoying some bubbles accompanied by a great musical beat.
This champagne first is a must-visit in Paris–see you at Le Dokhan’s!
