My luxurious hotel stays in Hong Kong and Macao China

St. Regis Macao
I had the most amazing trip to China last month, and not only was it about visiting two new cities, but more about relaxing in two luxuriously different style hotels. Both hotels were located in the center of their respective cities. In the heart of Hong Kong, I stayed at an award-winning Design Boutique hotel called the Mira Moon, which is a member of the Design Hotel Group with only 90 guest rooms. In Macao, I bathed in glamour at The St. Regis Macao, which has 400 Guestrooms and an elegant, residential feel. Both hotels are part of the Starwood Preferred Guest Loyalty Program, of which I have been a member since 2000.

High Class all the way!
These hotels are equipped with state-of-the-art-technology. (You can learn more about the difference between a luxury small boutique and larger luxury hotel here.) I am excited to share my pictures of my luxurious adventure in China with you here.
Lobby
Both greetings upon arrival came with such warmth: I loved the glass of Champagne offered immediately at the Mira Moon and the glowing hospitality by numerous staffers at the St. Regis.

Welcome amenity
I have always held either Gold or Platinum Status at St. Regis, and am greeted with a lovely card and scrumptious treat!
Let’s go to bed
Bed comfort is key, and not only for sleep, if you know what I mean. Room service, movie, and late night glass of Champagne are all done in bed for me! Both hotels had exquisite bedding which I nestled in each evening after full day’s exploring. High tech TV’s at both locations helped me drift off to sleep in comfort fit for a queen.

On the side headboard at the Mira Moon are numerous buttons to control the TV, iPad, and an incredible Bluetooth Music System with speakers throughout, including the bathroom!
Closets/Robe
Cozy robes and slippers at both hotels kept me warm and toasty after a shower or before snuggling under the sheets at bedtime.

Bathroom/view
I had a beautiful corner bathroom at The Mira Moon with views for miles, and the St. Regis had an incredible bathtub which I used daily! (not pictured here)

Mini Bar
Both had great fridges stocked with sodas, wine, and spirits. I loved that the Mira Moon had a Nespresso Machine, which I am accustomed to having daily, so that was a great bonus.

Dining
Dining at each hotel could be an article all on its own, so instead I wanted to share pictures of my favorite meals out and about in both cities tasting the local, regional cuisine in small local restaurants.
Both hotels did offer incredible cuisine and the breakfast buffet at The Manor in the St. Regis was one of the best I have ever had! I promise to dig into cuisine more on my return trip!

Afternoon Tea
I enjoyed afternoon tea every day at the St. Regis in the luxurious bar. Make sure to try their signature house Bloody Mary, called Mara Do Leste. Every St. Regis has a specialty Bloody Mary, and this was one of my favorites!

Cocktail lounge
Now my favorite part, the bar! The Mira Moon had a very cute and quaint bar, called The Champagne Bar, which was very fitting for me. A cozy place for bubbles before hitting the streets of Hong Kong for the night. At the St. Regis Bar, I could lounge all evening in the large leather sofas and I fell in love with all the dark wood furnishings. Usually though, I hopped up on a bar stool and enjoyed evening chats with the incredible bar staff.

Pool and Spa at The St. Regis
Give me a day with nothing to do, a pool and spa, add Champagne and I am happy! Both were top notch, and the service was impeccable. I had my coconut poolside in no time! Of course, afterwards I was in heaven with my 90-minute Therapeutic Massage in the Iridium Spa, located on the 38th floor with incredible views of Macao.

Work always calls, and both locations had all the necessities you could need to keep up with the office or any other items needing your attention.

What a trip!
I truly enjoyed every moment at both hotels, and I am already looking forward to my next trip back. A city center boutique hotel like the Mira Moon is perfect for easy comings-and-goings when your purpose is to stroll, shop, and immerse yourself downtown in the center of Hong Kong. Macao is rich in history, and the St. Regis is in prime central location on the Cotai Strip, known as Asia’s Las Vegas. I hope you have or will be visiting one of these locations soon, and who knows, I may see you there!
